Madly Monochrome

Shot by Zeno Watson

Black and white is one of the easiest and most classic colour combinations… Here’s how to style monochrome this season

Dotty for Spots!

Just like monochrome, polka dots are classic and they never date. This dress, by Zara, is therefore one of the best buys right now as it will stay stylish forever!

With long, neck tie and dramatic, balloon sleeves, this dress creates a bold statement. The neck tie can be worn as a pussybow at the front or left long and loose at the back. Here, I’ve added to the graphic effect with a polka dot-effect necklace and monochrome handbag. My over-the-knee boots perfectly compliment the mini length and add a touch of sexiness to this otherwise demure dress.

Animal Magnetism

There’s no denying that animal prints have dominated the catwalks for several seasons. From ubiquitous leopard to sneaky snake print, jungle creatures have been having a fashion moment, and now it’s the zebra’s turn!

Combined with puffy, statement shoulders, this open-backed, crop top is best paired with high-waisted options, like these belted peg-leg pants. The bow back adds a feminine feel and the high neck ensures that the piece remains just the right side of elegant! For chillier days, add an oversized coat in black or white and check the shopping links below for cosier, monochrome picks.
